SKYE restaurant is located on the 56th floor of BCA tower, one of the tallest skyscrapers in Jakarta, making it one of the highest located restaurants in the city. SKYE is a very popular venue during the new year’s eve, their outdoor lounge that is facing straight to one of the signature monument in Indonesia, Bundaran Hotel Indonesia, is a special appeal on its own. Seeing the fireworks above the city, made it a very mesmerizing view.
SKYE is divided into two areas, the bar which is located outside, with an exclusive pool view and city lights surrounding it, and the dining areas, which is located on the indoor area for those who are having more private events. The ambience is undoubtedly very nice and exclusive, there’s a certain dress code need to be followed to spend an evening here. Casual outfits are not allowed into this restaurant, guests are required to wear formal attires. Despite of the strict dress code, spending a night here is worth it coming from my own experience. SKYE is surely one of a kind, with all the exclusivity and the mesmerizing view. Reserving a place is here is really a job, especially on the weekends the queue would go on so long, so it is best to reserve your place weeks prior the day.
The food here is good although is not outstanding, the price range here is quite high, which is understandable considering the ambience it offers is very exclusive. Coming here for a night out with my friends, we only ordered the finger foods. The chicken quesadilla costed around 95.000 rupiah and is pretty good, we also ordered the truffle french fries. The bar collection here is wide in range. During the time we came, there’s a promotions of wine of the month which offered us a special price for selected wine, we ordered several glasses of Petite Sirah. They also had make it double promotions which offered a special price of 2 selected spirits
I would definitely come back here for the ambience and to have private gatherings with my friends. The service here is also very professional. I would highly recommend this restaurant to show your friends visiting Indonesia, how beautiful Jakarta is.
